Bumble Flutter+Flirt Full Face Palette (2024)

OBJECTIVE
Create a palette for a brand that has no presence in the beauty industry.

This 13 shade palette is designed to allow its user to create perfect date night looks with varying degrees of dramatics and playfulness making it suitable for both day and night for any age.

Within the palette, there are three lipstick options, these are designed to be nourishing and to suit any desired look. There is a lighter pink option, called Perfect Match, allowing for a more natural look. The next color is called First Move, designed to be an almost poppy red color to give the consumer the confidence to make the first move. The third lip shade, called Best Bee, is a deeper bluish red, designed to be more seductive and perfect for a candle lit date. 

This palette also contains a matte eyeshadow quad. The first shade is an eggshell white shade named spotlight. The second is a neutral light peach shade named Superswipe. The third is a burnt orange shade named Beeline and the fourth is a dark brown sepia shade named The Hive. 

There are also two graphic liners. These are intended to be applied with a wet angled brush. The first shade is a classic black named Bumble Bizz and the second is the iconic Bumble yellow named Find Your Honey.

Beyond that there is a highlighter, blush, bronzer, and contour. The highlighter is a light illuminating golden shimmer shade named Queen Bee Glow. The blush is a rosey peach named Buzzworthy Romance designed to give a natural flush to the skin. Love Connection is a warm toned bronzer and Bumble BFF is slightly darker and cooler contour shade.

My intent with the packaging was to be as inexpensive as possible without causing too much strain on the company with gifting at Bumble meet-up events. With this in mind, I decided to use a stock based component for the palette, made of PCR plastic, possessing thirteen slots that fit aluminum pans. The top of this palette will require custom tooling, made of PCR plastic, molded to be embossed with a honeycomb design. On the inside of the top will be a mirror glued on with a sticker reading “There You Glow” that is currently sold on the Bumble shop. The secondary packaging will be an embossed stock box, made of FSC certified card stock. The packaging colors consist primarily of the coined bumble yellow and white, featuring the shades within the palette.
